significance of hijrah?

Venue: Masjid Al-Amaniah, Selayang

there was an exciting forum held in conjunction with a program "Expo Maal Hijrah" organized by the masjid in collaboration with Pertubuhan IKRAM Gombak. the forum started at 8 pm until 9.15 pm.

the moderator was Ustaz Ir. Dr. Fuad Yeoh Abdullah (2nd from left). he is a father to my ex-usrahmate-akh abdullah omar. the panelist were Hj. Dr. Ann Wan Seng (not in the picture) & Hj. Mohd Fitri(right). The thanksgiving souvenir was completed by YDP IKRAM Gombak, Tuan Abd Aziz (3rd from left, with songkok and samping). Program manager of the forum was En unknown-lupa namanye. huhu.. (left)

what is so interesting was that the panelists talked about their transition (hijrah) from kufur to muslim, the significance of the hijrah to themselves as well as to the muslim ummah..
"alhamdulillah, I'm muslim now. If,na'uzubillah, I was not a muslim until I die, I will blame to you (pointing finger to the audience. feeling that it is pointing to my eyes direct to my heart) for not doing dakwah to non-muslim,especially indian!"

at this time, I was really shocked, afraid, and of course motivated to do dakwah to non-muslim. it makes me realized that it is indeed my responsibility! and doing dakwah is wajib fardhu 'ain to each and every muslim. ironically, I've just discussed about dakwah and its hukum (fardhu 'ain/fardhu kifayah and all) in my usrah this very week..

subhanallah..He really Knows every hikmah behind every plots happening in my life. Now I wonder what I've done in inviting (dakwah) my very next door neighbor which is an indian!

So,alhamdulillah, I've got the opportunity to ask a question during the forum's Q&A session. it sounds: "How could I be as hikmah as the prophet s.a.w did and also be practical in doing dakwah to non-muslim particularly indian and chinese in malaysia?"

So you know, the answers are simply by "ice-breaking" technique and open up our heart and mind to them first. get them involve with our programs-iftar/makan-makan, forum, dialogue etc..more efficient way is do the programs in their language-tamil and mandarin for Indian and Chinese respectively.

Tasks to do: learn Mandarin & tamil. Yeah! ^_^
